About Me
World-class medicine, hometown familiarity.
As a native to Monroe, I have always had a passion for healing and helping the members of this community. I completed my Family Medicine residency at E. A. Conway hospital, and with one tour in Afghanistan in 2016, I completed a four-year service commitment with the US Air Force. I continue to serve in the Air National Guard as a Flight Physician. I bring a perfect combination of hometown familiarity and worldwide experience in a variety of disciplines to provide world-class care to the people of Monroe. I'm excited to come home to the community I love, and I am eager to work with you to achieve your optimum state of health.

Why Direct Primary Care?
If you are like most people, you have an insurance plan with a deductible that you never meet, and so you have to pay out of pocket for many of your medical expenses in addition to the high premiums you already pay. For less than the cost of the average doctor's visit, you can have unlimited, direct access to a physician for as long as you want, anytime you need it. Most people would save hundreds of dollars per year by changing to a less expensive, high-deductible plan for major medical issues and allowing me to provide for their primary care needs.

How is this different from my current insurance?
The current insurance based model is heavily flawed and creates an incentive to bar your access to medical care. Currently, most people have the following restrictions on their care:
Copay for every visit (Insurance)
Monthly payment for coverage (Insurance)
Visits only by appointment
Restricted communication
Expensive treatments
Labs, tests, and procedures set by medical industry

For one flat fee, you can have world-class, compassionate, convenient health care on your terms, when you need it. Members of my health care service have the following benefits:

Do I have to be a member to come see you?
I welcome anyone who wants to experience medical care the way it's supposed to be. There is a consultation fee for non-members, but if you decide that you like the treatment you received and want to continue to be a part of my service, I will be happy to roll your consultation fee into your first month's subscription.
Are you really available at any time?
Ideally, yes. Of course, I'm only human and can’t guarantee 100 percent availability. That said, a reasonable expectation for availability would be that I would return your call within a couple of hours during the day-time, be available for urgent calls at night, and respond by the next business day for emails/texts.
Do you do house calls?
Yes. I am glad to come to your home should you have trouble getting to the office. The cost of a home visit is an additional $35 to cover transportation and additional transit time.
Do I still need insurance?
The short answer is yes. Membership covers office visits, in-office procedures, and basic point-of-care testing, I don't have the capability to offer on-site laboratory testing or imaging, but these will be outsourced to local community providers. For these I recommend either a health sharing ministry like MediShare or Liberty Health, or a high-deductible "major medical" insurance plan for hospitalizations and serious illness.
With the savings you have compared to the average cost of health insurance, you can create a Health Savings Account to lower your pre-tax income liability and reclaim your ability to direct your health care as you see fit, not as dictated to you by an actuary.
Of course, I'm glad to enroll patients who do not have insurance and help them negotiate cash prices for services not covered, but I still advise you get at least a catastrophic plan to cover un-anticipated costly medical services.
What happens if I have to be admitted to the hospital?
If you are admitted to a hospital, you will be placed under the care of the covering doctor or hospitalist. I will be available for telephone consult with the treating physician as needed. Copies of your hospital records will be requested upon your consent by our office. All of this is to ensure that continuity of care is maintained for your best care.
How long does a subscription last?
I offer monthly and yearly subscriptions.
Do I have to renew each year?
No. Patients are automatically re-enrolled in both yearly or monthly plans until cancellation is given in writing (either by email or print).
What do I have to pay out of pocket?
That depends on your insurance plan. For the majority of issues, your membership will cover most costs without any additional fees. Healthcare costs not covered by membership include lab tests, imaging, specialist visits, hospital admissions, and medications. That said, I have negotiated low prices for lab, imaging and specialist visits (in progress). As well, should you require an admission to the hospital, I am glad to admit you to any hospital in which I am credentialed for a reasonable additional fee (in progress). Depending on your insurance plan, prescriptions may be out of pocket, but there are a number of options available to help with the cost of most medications.
This seems too good to be true. What's the catch?
There's no catch. This is the way that medical care is supposed to look when we get back to the heart of medicine: the ancient and honored relationship between the physician and the patient. Cutting out the middle man allows us to keep our costs low, and it allows greater flexibility in how you can choose to experience your health care.

I offer an unhurried and relaxed consultation with careful attention paid to your concerns and no corners cut. I want you to feel heard, understood, and cared for. I offer all of the services you have come to expect in a normal Family Medicine clinic, but with an added advantage. Since I am using a subscription model for my clinic, you're not limited by the traditional restrictions of clinic appointments, with the hassle of taking time off work and waiting for your consultation. I offer a variety of virtual medicine options, including telephone, video conferencing, and secure messaging to allow you to choose the level of care that fits your needs, when you need it.

Functional Medicine

For patients interested in taking their health care to the next level, I offer a comprehensive Functional Medicine analysis to dive deeply into the root causes of illness and begin to truly treat the problems instead of controlling the symptoms. This premium service includes a 90 minute face-to-face consultation, a detailed analysis of your medical problems and potential triggers, and a comprehensive plan to begin your journey toward achieving your ideal state of health.
Membership and Service Fees
Transparency in Pricing
Copays and office visit fees do not exist at Paraclete Health Solutions. Your monthly membership fee covers all in-office visits, procedures, and consultations. It also includes any phone consultations, video conferencing, secure messaging, and other virtual medicine consultations you may need during the month. Currently, my capabilities include minor in-house procedures, including wound care, steroid and other injections (will need to be pre-arranged to obtain the medication to be injected), dry needling (including TENS stimulation if indicated), physical examination, prescriptions, and some in-house point-of-care testing (blood sugar, blood pressure, etc). This is a growing practice, so the list of things I am able to do will grow over time.
When I cannot provide the service or procedure you need, I will do my best to negotiate a fair price with the clinic of your choice as your doctor and friend. If you do need an out-of-office procedure, you will know always know its cost beforehand so you can decide what is best for you.
Monthly Membership Fee
$100 per month (first 100 patients)
At Paraclete Health Solutions I offer monthly and annual subscriptions to include all of the basic services I am able to provide you in my office. If you're not sure about the subscription model and want to try it out before making a long-term commitment, you can have access to my services for a month, for less than many people pay for a single copay for their doctor's visits. As an introductory rate, I am offering a year of service at $100 per month to the first 100 patients. Join me today!
Annual Membership Fee
$1080 per year (10% discount)
If you are ready to join the practice for the long term and don't want to have to worry about whether an unexpected illness or minor injury will put a strain on your budget, this is the plan for you. With your annual fee, you will have the confidence that you will always have a doctor available to address your concerns when you need me. It's almost like having a doctor in the family.
As an introductory rate, I am offering a reduced fee schedule of $1080 for the first year for the first 100 patients.
Family Plan
$250 per month (2 adults and children up to age 18)
At Paraclete Health Solutions, I believe that good medical care involves the whole family. For families with children, I offer a Family Plan of $250 per month, which includes 2 adults and any children. Vaccinations are not kept on-site, so if this is a requirement, I will work with you to make arrangements.
Non-member Consultation
$125 per visit
If you're not a member of my service and you just want to have a single in-office visit with me, I am happy to accommodate you. This is a great option if you like your doctor but need a service, like dry needling, not available at your doctor's office, that I provide. Same-day appointments are usually available, and I can see the vast majority of patients within 24 hours. If you like the care you receive and want to continue on as a patient of mine, I will roll your consultation fee into your first month's subscription. Functional Medicine Analysis
$250 (one time fee)
